8 Questions to Ask Job Prospects Re: Their Web Experience

from Inbound Marketing: Getting Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs by Brian Halligan & Dharmesh Shah:Hiring criteria need to change to bring in savvy inbound marketing employees. Companies need to look for “Digital Citizens,” i.e. prospects who speak Web fluently. Here are 8 questions to ask interviewees:
1. What RSS reader do you use?
2. What blogs do you read?
3. Do you rank first for your name in Google?
4. Do you have a blog? If so, what is it about?
5. Do you use Facebook and LinkedIn, and when was the last time you updated your profile?
6. Do you use Twitter, and how often do you search Twitter?
7. Do you use Delicious, and if so, what kind of links do you save?
8. Do you use YouTube, and if so, do you simply view or do you post videos.
Clearly, jobseekers should look at these questions and make certain to have the right answers — by participating and building an online presence.
